Irish College of Paramedics Vice-President Alan Batt has just returned from the Fisdap Research Summit in Minneapolis. He was chosen to attend from applicants around the world to undertake two days of learning, research and networking with paramedic colleagues from across the USA, Mexico and Australia.

At the Research Summit, paramedic researchers and educators investigate topics related to paramedic education, clinical care and professional issues. They are supported by an on-site team of software developers, statisticians, editors and experienced researchers. This year saw Alan returning to the event after attending for the first time last year, where he attended on behalf of the National Association of EMS Educators. The research project he was involved with this year will now be submitted for presentation at an upcoming national conference in the coming months.

Further information on the summit, and research projects completed at previous events, can be found here: The event was generously supported by Fisdap, Jones and Bartlett Learning/Ascend Learning and HealthPartners, and the Prehospital Care Research Forum at UCLA.
