If you are like many prehospital care providers, and find paediatric calls to be stressful, please join us for KinderMedic Beag—delivered by members of the Ornge Paediatric Critical Care Transport Team in Ontario, Canada, hosted by the Irish College of Paramedics and the Irish Red Cross, Cork City Branch.
This four-hour seminar is an abbreviated version of the popular KinderMedic program in Ontario and addresses some of the most common knowledge gaps and most challenging procedural skills involving children in the prehospital environment. It delivers a specialist paediatric perspective that differs from the predominately adult EM and critical care foundation seen in the prehospital setting.
The agenda includes discussions on how to approach a paediatric airway as well as newborn resuscitation. It will also include skills stations on basic and advanced airway tools, as well as term neonates and special situations in neonatal resuscitation. The program delivers intimate, hands on training.
