Programme Content

The objective of this workshop is to provide the participants with the tools to systematically search the prehospital literature for high quality information. Participants will learn the basic skills to construct search terms and perform searches in HSE available databases and they will learn how to stay up-to-date with the latest prehospital research.

Target Audience

This workshop is open to individuals working in the prehospital field with an interest in understanding the current literature and conducting prehospital research. The minimum qualification required for registration is EMT on the PHECC register.

Presenters

Several experienced presenters will facilitate this workshop including Dr Damien Ryan, Dr Martine Dennekamp and Dr Fintan Bracken.

Approach

Participants will be given the tools to search the prehospital literature through a series of lectures and practical exercises. There will also be ample opportunity for informal discussions during the workshop.

Cost

The cost of the workshop is €25 which covers catering costs including tea/coffee and lunch.
