Alan Batt, Vice-President of the Irish College of Paramedics, and Dr. Shane Knox, President, are part of a team that has recently been awarded a research grant by the ZOLL Foundation, to conduct research into cardiac arrests in the Middle East. The ZOLL Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization founded by the ZOLL Medical Corporation to support research in resuscitation and acute critical care.

Alan has previously led several studies related to cardiac arrests in the United Arab Emirates, and has presented and published these internationally. He will now lead a multinational author team, including Shane, which aims to synthesize the literature on cardiac arrests in the Arab Gulf region. This will add significantly to our understanding of the issue in the region.

Congratulations Alan and Shane!
