What is CPC?
A health care professional who has undergone a recognised education and training programme and has developed the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to practice safely and effectively can be said to be professionally competent1.
Without Continuing Professional Competency or CPC programmes, health professionals who were competent after initial training can become less competent over time, especially if they are not partaking in Continuing Professional Competency activities and keeping up to date with developments in the profession1.
